Early February News From Becky

Hey!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for prayers, notes, gifts, Box Tops for Education, and even UPC's from Campbell's products!

God arranged for me to be the one to bring a young mother right to the feet of Jesus.  Bernelda Begay is now your sister in Christ!!!  Please pray for her; I believe the Enemy is loathe to give any of us up.  [This occurred moments before the start of a 2-day retreat for the ladies (here), and kind of over-brightened (as opposed to over-shadowed) the retreat, in my opinion.  :-)   What a thrill!]

The weather has been colder and snowier than usual, though it is warming up greatly lately [sunny & 50º]

In class, we are in a chapter about Energy and Machines in Science and are looking at the 'Dark Continent' in History/Geography.  ["Dr. Livingstone, I presume?" Yes.  The "Queen of the Cannibals" - Mary Slessor?  Yes.  Phut, Mizraim, and Cush?  Yes, them, too]  We are converting mixed numbers into improper fractions, playing around with square numbers and square roots, and figuring out how many cm are in 2 1/2 km in Math class.  We love reading the wild stories in the book of Judges during Bible class.

One of the 7th graders from our school (Kelsea Dee) won the whole Spelling Bee in Albuquerque this weekend, so she will compete in the regional Bee (Denver, CO) later this month.

I haven't been to a chiropractor in a month.  I believe I've added a deeper, experiential knowledge of sciatica and arthritis (right elbow) to my person.  What else will I learn of?!

Thank you again for your generosity; it means so much.

In His Care, Becky Knopf
