February News

Dear Ones,
I thank God and you for continued support; each of your prayers for the work here and for me has great impact.  Thank you for the BoxTops4Education, which bring actual money [$582 this last time] into the school fund twice a year!  I am asking you to pray specifically for me this month as I have Friday morning ‘chapels’ to give. [A small group called Covenant Players was here yesterday and they took my first Friday AM - Hoooray!]
Mom came for a week in January and was a blessing to many.  She cooks and cooks and loves to fellowship over a meal.  [Apparently, we all do!]  It was very good for us to spend all that time together.
The Wednesday evening Ladies’ class, which runs during the PeeWee basketball practice, has started up again.  Cindy Lauersdorf (first grade teacher) is teaching us sign language and lots of us came to the first class, even a deaf Navajo man came – and I think he had the most fun of all!  We hope to learn to sign several songs and then go perform them at a ‘nearby’ home for the “elderlies.”  Field trips are always a hoot, don’t you think?
Two students from the school went to Albuquerque this weekend to compete in a Spelling Bee.  I have heard that they both took fifth place; COOL!  Miss Denny loves to be the one to take the kids to it.  She works hard with them, then they go compete, and then they spend one more day in Albq having fun!
I took 3 of my students to town with me this past Thursday.  They make up my ‘brute force’, willingly hefting loads of water bottles and Gatorade far too heavy for me.  What a blessing.
We read I Corinthians 13, and 15 this past week in class.  One student wrote, “Five hundred people saw Jesus? {ref. 15:6}  Wow!  Do you wish you did?  I do.”  I love their enthusiasm for my Lord Jesus.  Yes, I am eager to see Him – and I will one day!  Will you?
God bless and keep you.  He takes great care of me.
Isn’t He good?    Love, Becky
“My dear friends, stand firm and don’t be shaken.  Always keep busy working for the Lord.  You know that everything you do for Him is worthwhile.”  (I Cor 15:58 CEV)
